Under the vision of CM Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Women Development Department has launched an important and empowering program for women of Punjab called “Sheet Threads Program 2026.”
The program aims to equip women with modern skills, provide training in the textile sector, and make them economically independent to earn respectful employment. It is specially designed for women from rural and underdeveloped areas to provide equal opportunities compared to developed cities.
Program Objectives
- Economic Empowerment: Make women capable of earning a dignified income and financial independence.
- Skilled Textile Workforce: Prepare skilled women for Punjab’s textile industry to enhance competitiveness locally and internationally.
- Rural Development: Empower women from underdeveloped regions with limited employment opportunities.
